How do you ensure the purity of the copper sheet? Can the conductivity meet IACS standards?
Our copper sheets (T2/C11000) have a copper content of ≥99.9%. Each batch undergoes conductivity testing to ensure it meets ≥98% IACS. The Mill Test Certificate (MTC) provided with each shipment includes chemical composition and electrical index analysis, fully meeting the stringent requirements of the power and transformer industries.
Copper oxidizes easily. What measures do you take to prevent the surface from turning black or spotting upon arrival?
We apply an anti-oxidation passivation treatment before the sheets leave the factory. The packaging includes full coverage with VCI paper and sealed plastic film to prevent moisture ingress. For customers with high surface requirements, we also offer double-sided PVC coating to ensure no scratches or oxidation during processing and transport.
I need to perform complex bending; which temper should I choose (Soft or Half-hard)?
If your processing involves 180-degree bending or deep drawing, we recommend O (Soft) temper. If you need structural strength with minor bending, 1/2H (Half-hard) is a more balanced choice. Please inform us of your bending radius so we can recommend the most suitable hardness parameter.
What is your thickness tolerance for precision electronic parts?
Relying on advanced cold rolling processes, our thin copper sheet thickness tolerance can be precisely controlled within ±0.01mm – ±0.03mm (depending on the gauge). This high consistency ensures longer die life for your stamping tools and maintains uniform electrical resistance across parts.
Copper is highly reflective. Is it suitable for laser cutting? Will there be a heat-affected zone on the edges?
Our copper sheets feature a uniform structure, making them highly suitable for fiber laser cutting. Despite copper’s reflectivity, the high purity ensures neat edges with minimal dross. For ultra-thin gauges, we suggest waterjet or precision plasma cutting to minimize the heat-affected zone and preserve the mechanical properties of the edges.
