FAQs
My decoiler has a 5-ton limit. Can you provide small coils or fixed-weight coils?
Yes. We can flexibly adjust the individual coil weight to meet your equipment requirements. Generally, we provide coils ranging from 3 to 8 tons, and we can also split large coils into smaller ones to ensure a perfect match for your production line.
How can I ensure the zinc coating weight is uniform from the beginning to the end of the coil?
We use on-line thickness gauges on the production line for real-time monitoring, minimizing zinc coating fluctuations. In the provided MTC, we include test results from multiple sampling points to ensure consistent anti-corrosion performance throughout the entire coil.
Coils will be at sea for months. How do you guarantee no "white rust" will form?
We use export-grade fine packaging, featuring triple protection: internal waterproof paper, plastic film, and an external metal cover. Additionally, the surface is passivated. We strongly recommend customers choose the oiled option for ocean freight to provide double moisture-proof security.
Will the zinc coating flake or crack when the coil is bent at 90 or 180 degrees?
No. Our galvanizing process ensures excellent zinc adhesion. As long as you select the correct grade (e.g., structural or drawing grade) based on the processing difficulty, the zinc layer will stretch synchronously with the substrate during bending without flaking.
If I perform slitting after purchase, will the slit edges be prone to rusting?
Zinc provides sacrificial anodic protection, where zinc ions create an electrochemical shield that inhibits rust on the exposed steel base. For high-requirement projects, we suggest applying zinc-rich paint to the slit edges or selecting a high-precision finishing process for better edge quality.
